About Us

Our Story

Who We Are

We’re the Cannabis Commerce Forum (CCF) - a non-profit built for the cannabis community, by the cannabis community.

Our mission is simple: to make cannabis retail in South Africa legal, safe and fair. We help stores step out of the shadows and into compliance, while giving consumers the peace of mind that what they’re buying is trusted, responsible and aligned with the law.

At our core, we believe in:

Inclusion

Challenges We’re Tackling

The cannabis industry in SA isn’t easy to navigate:

  • Rules are confusing and often unclear.
  • Small retailers (especially in townships and rural areas) are excluded.
  • The black market puts both consumers and store owners at risk.
  • Retailers don’t have a strong voice in policy – yet.

That’s where CCF steps in. We provide compliance support, training and advocacy so retailers and consumers can grow together in a safe, legal market.

Our Place in the Bigger Picture

We’re aligned with the Cannabis Master Plan – South Africa’s roadmap for legalisation, inclusion, job creation and consumer safety.

And we’re guided by Ubuntu – the belief that “I am because we are.”For us, cannabis retail isn’t just business. It’s about building an industry that uplifts communities, creates jobs and gives everyone a fair shot.

What Our Affiliates Said

We’re proud to still be working with many of the same people that hired us in our early days.

  • The convention thus allows countries to outlaw cannabis for all non-research purposes but lets nations choose to allow use for medical and scientific purposes if they believe total prohibition is not the most appropriate means of protecting health and welfare.
